Rylan Heritage Metal Wooden Wall Clock — World Globe Sculpture Design

The Rylan Heritage Metal Wooden Polished Wall Clock is one of the most architecturally ambitious pieces in the Vedas Homes collection — a large wall clock built around a globe-shaped sculpture of warm walnut-toned wood and polished brass meridian rods. The circular form resembles a terrestrial globe rendered in cross-section: the wooden body is inlaid with continent-like map cutouts in a darker wood tone, and the brass latitude and longitude lines are formed from polished metal rods.

Measuring 45.7 cm across and 14 cm in depth, this is a genuinely three-dimensional wall clock — a piece that projects significantly from the wall and commands space in a way flat-frame clocks cannot. Weighing 3.5 kg, the Rylan has the solid presence of a sculptor’s work. It suits contemporary, mid-century modern, and globally-inspired interiors where the wall clock is expected to be a significant statement piece.

Frequently Asked Questions About Wall Clock

Q1: Is the Rylan’s globe shape purely decorative or does it have a functional clock face?

A: The Rylan has a fully functional quartz clock face integrated into the globe composition. The clock face is positioned within the globe form and reads clearly from a normal viewing distance.

Q2: How much wall space does the Rylan require?

A: At 45.7 cm diameter and 14 cm depth, the Rylan requires a wall area of at least 70 cm × 70 cm of clear space. The 14 cm depth means nearby objects or furniture should not be positioned immediately beneath it.

Q3: Is the Rylan suitable for a home office or library?

A: It is among the most fitting pieces for a home office or library — the globe motif references travel, knowledge, and a worldly perspective, qualities that resonate deeply in professional and intellectual spaces.

Q4: What is the weight capacity required of the wall anchor?

A: At 3.5 kg, use a masonry anchor or wall stud fixing rated for at least 6 kg. Given the 14 cm depth, a correctly rated anchor is essential for long-term security.

Q5: Does the walnut wood finish require any maintenance?

A: The polished wood finish is low-maintenance. Regular dry dusting and protection from moisture and direct heat are sufficient to maintain its condition for years.

Q6: Can this be used in a corporate office or boardroom?

A: The Rylan is a sophisticated choice for corporate environments where premium wall art with a global theme is desired. It pairs well with Metal Wall Decor and framed artwork in professional spaces.

Q7: What makes this different from other large wall clocks?

A: The Rylan is a full three-dimensional sculpture — not a flat frame clock. Its globe form,

walnut-and-brass material combination, and 14 cm depth place it in a distinct category of Designer Clocks that function as gallery-quality wall objects.

Q8: Is this available in other finishes or sizes?

A: Currently the Rylan is offered in the walnut-and-brass finish at 45.7 cm. Browse the complete Wall Clocks and Designer Clocks range on Vedas Homes for related heritage pieces.
