Zubin Wooden Round Wall Clock — Ikat Pattern Handpainted Frame

The Zubin Wooden Simple Numerical Round Shaped Wall Clock is a vivid, pattern-forward decorative wall clock with a handpainted wooden frame in a striking cobalt blue, lime green, and white ikat-inspired geometric pattern. The wide circular frame is covered in repeating triangular chevrons, diamond rows, and geometric blocks that echo the bold weave patterns of Indian ikat textiles.

At 35.6 cm in diameter, the Zubin is mid-sized — larger than the compact 30.5 cm range but without the full wall-dominance of the 45.7 cm pieces. The dial uses Arabic numerals on a cream background with slim black hands, providing clear readability. Weighing 2.8 kg, this is the most solid of the compact handpainted clock range, with a dense, quality build. The Zubin suits eclectic, bohemian, contemporary Indian, and pattern-bold interior directions.

Frequently Asked Questions About Wall Clocks

Q1: What is ikat and how does it relate to the Zubin clock’s design?

A: Ikat is a traditional textile dyeing and weaving technique from South and Southeast Asia in which threads are resist-dyed before weaving to create geometric patterns. The Zubin’s frame translates the visual language of Indian ikat textiles — particularly the chevrons, triangles, and diamond forms — into a handpainted wooden clock frame.

Q2: Is Arabic numerals on the dial different from other Vedas Homes wall clocks?

A: Yes — the Zubin uses Arabic numerals (1–12) rather than the Roman numerals used on most other clocks in the range. This makes it more immediately readable for buyers who prefer conventional number displays.

Q3: What room colours complement the Zubin’s cobalt and lime palette?

A: White, off-white, and light grey walls provide the cleanest backdrop. Warm terracotta or mustard walls create a rich complementary contrast. Avoid placing on strongly coloured walls where the frame pattern would compete with the background.

Q4: Is the Zubin suitable for a children’s room?

A: The bold geometric pattern and clear Arabic numerals make the Zubin a lively and practical addition to a child’s bedroom or playroom. The geometric design is age-appropriate for all ages.

Q5: How does the Zubin compare to the Galleria and Mason clocks in the handpainted range? A: The Galleria uses figurative folk-art motifs in many colours. The Mason uses narrative elephant scenes on saffron yellow. The Zubin uses abstract geometric ikat patterns — it is the most

design-forward and pattern-graphic of the three, with a more contemporary character.

Q6: Can the Zubin be used in a home office?

A: The graphic geometric pattern gives it a design-forward, creative energy appropriate for a studio, creative agency, or modern home office. It pairs well with contemporary furniture and minimal décor.

Q7: Is the frame hand-painted or printed?

A: The frame is entirely handpainted — each geometric form is applied individually by brush. The flatness and graphic precision of the ikat pattern make the handmade origin less immediately obvious than in figurative folk-art pieces, but each Zubin is a genuine handpainted original.
